NCA Communication Center

The NCA Comm Center is physically located in the Incident Command Post (ICP) of the Westgate CERT.
    The Comm Center will serve as the Tier 1 VHF radio link between the Palm Beach County EmComm Nets and the Indian Spring CERT.

    The Comm Center will serve as the Tier 2 GMRS Directed Net between and among the Indian Spring CERT and the 24 neighborhood CERTs.

    The Comm Center also serves as the Tier 3 Westgate GMRS Net between the Westgate ICP and the Contact Teams internal to the Westgate neighborhood.

The NCA Comm Center is well equipped with UHF, VHF and GMRS/FRS radios, computers, antennas, generators, landline and cell phones.

The chief radio operator has an FCC Amateur Tech license and a GMRS license.

He is trained and/or certified in:
    CERT Basic Training
    IS-100b: Introduction to Incident Command System
    IS-200b: ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents
    IS-700a: National Incident Management System
    FEMA: CERT Emergency Communications
    FCC/ARRL: Introduction to Emergency Communication (EC-001)
He has served as:
    Assistant Emergency Coordinator for Palm Beach County ARES - South.
    Network Manager for Palm Beach County ARES - South.
    Instructor for Network Management training at Palm Beach County ARES - South.
    Chairman of the Westgate CERT Committee.
    Incident Commander of the Westgate Incident Command Post.
